This sensory garden is framed with the creative use of reclaimed tropical hardwood sleepers set upright in uneven heights for a fun effect. Sensory stimulation is provided by a central water feature, outdoor musical instruments and colourful scented planting.
A bright yellow pathway of self-binding gravel adds more stimulation as it leads pupils past the water feature and on to the outdoor classroom on a raised decking area with benches made from sleepers.
Further stimulation and outdoor education activity is provided by an area next to the classroom with a bug hotel and logs for sitting on, and a bespoke mud kitchen created especially for the school.
